"Long Beach resident Leslie Lay is an emerging artist who is quickly making a name for herself, having exhibited her multi-media creations in three group shows in 2014, one in Signal Hill and the others in Los Angeles.  Her ability to dig deep and pull from formative experiences, good and bad, have helped her quickly find inspiration for her work."

I am a runaway Human Resources Professional but there's always been a creative itch.  I lost my job a few years ago and decided to scratch that artistic itch.  I work with all sorts of mixed mediums, both one and three dimensional.  This journey has been cathartic and highly satisfying!

I am currently working on a new series called In Utero. As of September 2016, three have been completed and will be on exhibit at Deja Brew Coffee 2771 E. Broadway, Long Beach, CA beginning September 11, 2016 through November, 2016. I am also self-teaching photography. My current occupation allows me to pursue anything that inspires me along the way.

I have been lucky enough to show my work three times in the first year of my artistic career.  Story of Oh was part of a show called Relative Aperture at Greenly Art Space in Signal Hill, September 2014.  My Get-away Van Series was part of the Los Angeles Pancakes and Booze Show in October 2014. My Animal Plaque Series was shown as part of the DTLA November 2014 Art Walk at Salon on Main in Los Angeles and again at Pancakes and Booze LA October 2015.
